Featherstone Nursery Schools offers your child a broad and balanced, play based curriculum which is in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

Some of their learning will be adult led in small groups, other learning will be child initiated. Your child will lead their play and adults will work alongside them to extend and promote their learning.

We encourage the children to try new activities, persist when things become difficult and revisit their learning in a variety of contexts. This all helps to embed their learning and help them to retain the knowledge and skills they have obtained. 

Parents and Carers can support their child’s learning at home to further embed their knowledge and skills. Use the half termly curriculum plans that we send home and the next steps on your child’s Tapestry observations to help you do this.
