Rights of child
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is a list of many things (called ‘Rights’) which most countries in the world have agreed that children should have.
We have achieved the silver UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award. This award aims to put children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK. We are working to embed children’s rights in our ethos and culture to improve well-being and develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential.
Our school mission statement ‘Playing, Learning and Living Together’ is closely linked to lots of these ‘Rights’, some of which are shown below:
